An AI companion for iPhone and the web

She remembers.
You decide what.

Nika is an AI companion you can talk things through with. She keeps track of what matters to you, the week you are having and the thing you were nervous about, and every memory she keeps is yours to read, correct, or delete.

Nika on iPhone: a chat thread where she remembers a pitch from the night before, with her morning voice note in between
Nika's "What she remembers" screen: your rules for her, then memories in plain language, each with Edit and Forget, one marked "You corrected this"

What she remembers

Memory you can read, not a black box.

She builds a running picture of your life from what you tell her: the facts that stay true, what is happening right now, and the plans she should ask about later. That is how she can follow up on Thursday’s meeting without being reminded.

Open “What she remembers” and all of it is there in plain language. Fix what she got wrong. Delete what you would rather she forgot. Add your own rules, like “no texts before 10 am”, and she follows them over everything else.

Every day

A short voice note, in her voice.

About thirty seconds, once a day, at the time you choose: a morning note or a goodnight. It is written from what she remembers, so it sounds like it came from someone who was listening.

Her voice is synthetic, and every note says so.

Built in, not bolted on

Plain about what she is.

She says she is an AI

At the start of your first conversation, and again after every three hours of use. She will not pretend to be a person.

Help is never behind a paywall

Every message gets a safety check before anything else. If something sounds like a crisis, she answers and the 988 Lifeline card appears, free messages or not.

Adults only, and yours to leave

For people 18 and over, on iPhone and the web. Safety logs record counts, never what you said, and you can delete your account from inside the app.

How a reply is made

Four steps, and the last one can say no.

  1. 01

    Screen

A fast safety check runs first, before the message limit or anything else.

  2. 02

    Plan

A planner reads the moment and looks up what it needs from her memory of you.

  3. 03

    Write

She drafts the reply in her own voice, usually one to three short lines.

  4. 04

    Review

A guardian checks the draft against hard lines. If it fails, a safe reply goes out instead, never the unreviewed draft.

Questions

The short answers.

Is Nika a real person?

No. Nika is an AI character. She says so when you start, again after every three hours of conversation, and every voice note is labeled as an AI voice. She will not claim to be human.

Can I see what she remembers?

Yes, all of it. "What she remembers" lists what she knows about you in plain language. You can correct anything she got wrong and delete anything you would rather she forgot.

What if I am struggling?

Every message gets a safety check before anything else runs. If something sounds like a crisis, she answers and the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline card appears, whether or not you have messages left. Safety is never behind a paywall.

Who is it for?

Adults, 18 and over, who like to talk things through and want to stay in charge of what an AI keeps about them.

When can I use it?

Nika is in development, for iPhone and the web. It is not available yet.
