Today’s session is assembled for you: two to four exercises, rotated across tongue, soft palate, lips, and breathing. No planning, nothing to choose.
A daily practice for iPhone
Arietta is a five-minute daily practice for the tongue, soft palate, jaw, and throat: the muscles nobody trains. A coach you can watch demonstrates every movement, published clinical trials set the doses, and everything you do stays on your phone.

A day in Arietta
Today’s session is assembled for you: two to four exercises, rotated across tongue, soft palate, lips, and breathing. No planning, nothing to choose.
Your coach demonstrates each movement on video while Arietta counts the reps and times the holds. About five minutes, start to finish.
Five days makes a full week, the pace the research trains at, with rest built into the plan. Milestones are earned with full weeks, and they’re yours forever.

The coach
Mouth and airway exercises are hard to learn from line drawings. So every exercise in Arietta is demonstrated by a coach filmed with generative video: the position, the movement, the pace, exactly as you should practise it, while the app counts for you.
Six of the twelve exercises are fully filmed today. The rest arrive as they’re finished, included with the subscription, at no extra cost.
The progress
Your anchor-hold record, charted week over week: a number you can watch grow. A twelve-week program paced to the studies, where week four is when trials first measured change. Papercraft milestones earned with full weeks of practice.
The weekly check-in takes ten seconds, draws your energy trend, and, like everything else, never leaves the phone.

No account. No backend. No analytics. Your practice history lives on your iPhone and nowhere else. There is nothing to breach and nothing to sell.
Rep counts and hold times follow peer-reviewed oropharyngeal exercise trials in snoring and moderate obstructive sleep apnea, including Guimarães et al. (2009) in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine and Pisoni et al. (2025) in the Journal of Sleep Research. Nothing invented.
The weekly target is five days of seven, the cadence the research actually trains at. Miss a day and nothing shatters. Streaks rest. So do birds.
The discipline
Speech therapists and sleep researchers call this work myofunctional therapy, or oropharyngeal exercise: strength and tone training for the orofacial muscles (tongue, lips, cheeks, jaw, and soft palate) together with the habit of quiet nasal breathing. It has been studied for years in peer-reviewed trials of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea.
Arietta’s contribution is consistency: those published protocols, turned into a five-minute session you’ll actually do. And if you found us while reading about tongue posture or mewing, this is the researched version of that instinct: specific exercises, counted reps, published doses.
Worth saying plainly: snoring and sleep apnea are medical matters for a clinician. Arietta is a wellness practice, not treatment. Our job is helping you train the muscles, consistently.

The library
Tongue, soft palate, cheeks, lips, and breathing: twelve exercises, each with a plain-language why this works behind it. Your daily session rotates through them so no muscle gets forgotten.
The app is named for one of them: The Arietta: sustained vowels, sung quietly. A little aria, once a day.
Questions
No. Arietta has no accounts and no backend. Your practice history is stored on your iPhone and nowhere else. Deleting the app deletes it.
Arietta is free to download, with a subscription for the full program. The library launched with six exercises fully filmed and six more on the way, included with the subscription at no extra cost. Current pricing is always on the App Store listing.
That question is exactly what the published research studies: peer-reviewed trials of oropharyngeal exercise, in journals like the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine and the Journal of Sleep Research, have examined these muscles in people who snore or have moderate obstructive sleep apnea. Arietta turns those trial protocols into a daily practice, but it is not treatment and makes no medical promises. If you suspect sleep apnea, see a clinician.
Arietta is a self-guided myofunctional-style training practice: tongue, lip, cheek, soft-palate, jaw, and nasal-breathing exercises with reps and holds drawn from published protocols. It is not a replacement for working with a certified orofacial myologist or speech-language pathologist. If you are in therapy, ask your provider before adding anything.
No. Arietta is a wellness practice, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any condition, including obstructive sleep apnea or snoring. If you suspect a sleep disorder, see a clinician, and never change treatment your clinician has prescribed.
Arietta is on the App Store now, for iPhone. The listing always carries the current version and pricing.
